I backed up the disc, converted it to an ISO with ImgTool, and burned back to disc with DVD Decrypter. I had that problem with Walking Tall, it uses a new copy protection, and it looks like your problematic DVD uses the same. Too Many 'Pack Header Not Found' Errors! I 12:58:32 Found 1 DVD+RW! I tried Rejig and was able to get my video from the DVD into Premiere pro. Do NOT open any VOB files. CS5 offers native DD AC3 support, as did CS4.2.Hunt Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 12.

I don't think the disc is defective, since it has "COPY CONTROLLED DVD" in big letters on the box, and the behaviour I'm seeing is consistent with what others have run If you do this again, there will be more compression of the data, resulting in a loss in quality.

The Geek7th December 2004, 22:09So it's just the first VOB that can't be copied. In other words, just keep the clips in DVD format and write them to another DVD-R disc. If it does, it'll say so in the log.
Have you heard anything bad about L-Lite Codec Pack Standard 4.8.5? Below are the details of the file VOB2MPG file I'm talking about and as you suspected the audio format is AC-3. It has vob conversion capabilities but I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for. so they are simply applying an old protection to a new format.
